BPM’s: 111.11

Whole style inspired by Ankara. I chopped these West African vibes and started playing at Washington Hall in Seattle. This Brother Orb would invite me to the open cyphers to play my “dance instrumentals”. He said, “We get tired of dancing to the same beats, we wanna dance to new beats sometimes.” So not only did I go out and play beats but I knew I had to keep making new beats so I wouldn’t sound so repetitive. I noticed when I would drop this beat, everybody wouldn’t get into it immediately. Then Orb would freestyle and make it look easy, and soon after that more dancers were catching there own rhythms to it. This is one of my favorite beat to play and challenge dancers. It’s also a good track to work out too or just make moves in general.
