In the days of my youth, the Pontiac Silverdome was home to both the Detroit Lions football team and Detroit Pistons basketball team. The Silverdome hosted many events but some of my favorite moments were watching number 45 Adrian Dantley, playing in a blue Pistons uniform. ‘87 was the final year before the Detroit Pistons moved to the Palace of Auburn hills, when they played in the NBA finals against Magic, Kareem and the Champion Los Angeles Lakers. The following year, they left the Lions in the Silverdome and move to the Palace of Auburn Hills. AD was traded to the Dallas Mavericks for Mark Maguire and any love I had for the Pistons faded away like Jordan from mid range.. Even though the Pistons went on to win back to back championships those first years in the Palace, I was the only Chicago Bulls fan in my family. Maybe in the whole city. Possibly in the whole state.

lyrics

Verse 5

Forty five adaptor on the platter
I split splatter
Slaying my patterns
like I'm sleighing Santa with gift gabba

Stone like Medusa keep it Rollin like Mick Jagger
Kickstarter package, sticking daggers to big backers

Da Boy’s bad
Like a Piston captain
B#tch slappin’
Slip mattin
Itch scratchin’
Cross fader
Mix matchin’

Toe taggin'em
John Doe, missing in action
Shooda been flagging
I can't stand you like Chris Jackson

Abdur Rauf,
It’s pure in the booth
My group like Sankara and troops
During the coup

Get defeats/feets, outta ya seats
You know you what I mean
If his story repeats,
I'm Idi Amin/I mean
U Ganda have to
Overstand where I'm coming from

The Mother land
Mother tongue
Lips bubble gum

Another drum-breakin’ a record with thunder
Straight out the Jungle most times it make you wonder
Shout out to Andy most times he got the drugs
For the junkies who beat needles
And grounds that kill a buzz zzzz
Wake up, to all my people in a rush
I look across the U.S.
Like is it really us?
